The challenge
The estate was built on sandy ground next to a creek, and the excavation needed dewatering and shoring.
The solution
Mullaly supplied an RPEQ-certified 4.0 m diameter, 8.5 m deep FRP wet well and a 2.0 × 1.8 × 1.45 m deep FRP valve pit. The wet well has a 1.2 m high dividing wall that forms two separate pump chambers.
The FRP components cut on-site construction time and the cost of keeping the excavation safe. A Mullaly station suits sandy ground because it needs less excavation and shoring, and sand can be used as backfill.
