One-piece FRP sewage pump station for a remote NT community

Still in near-perfect condition after more than 20 years.

Background

Ramingining is an Aboriginal community in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory, on the edge of the Arafura Swamp, 560 km east of Darwin.

The challenge

For such a remote community, a one-piece pump station with a long life and low maintenance was essential, given how hard it is to get labour to site.

The solution

Mullaly supplied an FRP pump station with all internal pipework and fittings already in place, so the contractor only had to drop it into position.

More than 20 years later, the station’s smooth internal surfaces and stainless steel fixtures are still in near-perfect condition. Mullaly stations are still built to the same performance specification and quality standards today.

Products and scope

Products: one-piece FRP sewage pump station.

Our scope: manufacture with all internal pipework and fittings in place, so the contractor only had to drop it in.
